Meeting Donna Downey

While looking through files on my computer, I came across these photos from when I met Donna Downey! I attended her class on the Sunshine Coast at Joybell’s Scrapbooking and had the most amazing time. The first painting was done by Donna in an art journal belonging to the lady sitting next to me. I was amazed at how beautifully this painting came together. The second painting was my attempt, with finger painting and bright colours. It was a brilliant class and I hope to enjoy more classes in the future. Thanks for stopping by! xxx

Stop Thinking Just Live

IMG_2252Today I wanted to share an art journal page I made a few weeks ago. It was part of a post I created for Kreative Koncepts. This is what I wrote… “When I art journal, I can let go and see where the page takes me. I have made plenty of ugly pages and just as many that I love. I keep them all as they remind me of the journey I am on and how far I have come. Put simply, creating makes my soul happy.” Thanks for stopping by! xxx

Do All Things With Love

It is school holidays at the moment and I love the extra time to paint, play and make art! Here is an extra tip-in in my Documented Life Project planner. I began by using a piece of inky under paper and then added layers of white gesso, paint, stencilling and stamping. I really love the Kaisercraft sticker words, I think it finishes the piece perfectly. Thanks for stopping by! xxx

‘Heirloom’ Canvas

I have been fortunate enough to join the Kreative Koncepts Mixed Media Design Team. I am really excited about the next few months, with many wonderful projects to share. I have already learned so much! Today I wanted to share my ‘Heirloom’ canvas, inspired by the new Kaisercraft range. For detailed instructions, please visit the Mixed Media Blog at Kreative Koncepts.

Here is the Youtube clip I created for this canvas! Thanks for stopping by! xxx
